A Guided Canoe Trip on The River Bonet to Lough Gill in Canadain Canoes. Where Adventure meets Tranquility. Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of northwest Ireland. Located in Co. Leitrim in Dromahair. Embark on an enchanting journey down the tranquil waters of the River Bonet. As you glide along the gentle currents, surrounded by lush greenery of the Irish countryside, you'll feel a profound sense of peace and connection with the natural world. The River Bonet flows into Lough Gill, You'll have views of the Sleeping Giant. While paddling the waterways you will have a chance to spot local wildlife, take photographs, learn some canoe strokes, have a picnic and along the route you will encounter ancient ruins that whisper stories of the past providing a captivating insight into Irelands Heritage. Your local guides will share stories about the heritage and folklore myths of this remarkable region too. Perfect for small groups, individuals, couples and families. As the name suggests we aim to provide a gentle, enjoyable, safe experience with lots of excitment to be had along with a sense of achievement. This trip is a top favourite as you get to explore two counties in one trip, Leitrim and Sligo. This trip is 2.5 hours. The Canadain Canoe is a safe and stable craft suitable for a wide range of ages and fitness levels. Canadain canoeing gives the paddler a fresh perspective on nature, their surroundings and themsleves. This is an environmentally friendly activity where you take nothing but photographs and leave nothing behind but ripples. We will show and share with you the still waters and the scenic beauty that inspired William Butler Yeats writing of the Lake Isle of Innisfree. Whether your a seasoned adventurer or simply looking for a slower pace this trip offers the oppurtunity to relax and take in nature from a whole new perspective.
Lenght of trip: 2.5 hours
Includes paddling down The River Bonet to Lough Gill, where we will disembark the canoes, have a chance to stretch legs and enjoy a packed lunch and hot drink before paddleing back up The Bonet to finish at our same starting point.

Please bring a drink and packed lunch.
We advise to bring a spare pair of socks and a rain jacket.
We provide waterproof shoes but if you would prefer to wear your own shoes please bring old runners to wear.
For clothing warm comfy clothes is best, waterproofs if you have any but not essential, we can provide waterproof jackets if requested.
All essential equipment is provided.
Life jackets and wet suit shoes provided.
Paddles and Craft provided.
We do not take anyone out on the water below the age of 5 and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Due to demand, if you cancel more then 48 hours before your trip we will refund your booking fee. If your cancellation takes place less then 48 hours before your scheduled trip we will not be able to give a refund but we would be more then happy to reschedule your trip for another day.
Please note all trips on the water are weather dependant, if weather is not suitable we pospone the trip to a later date that suits you and the weather or depending on the weather we may suggest to paddle a diffrent route. Within reason we still go ahead with a trip if its raining but it is the wind that can cause us to pospone a trip or change the route, we try are very best to make the call the day before a trip. We will notify you by the number you provide when booking if there is any changes due to weather.
